Now, never have I professed to being the best writer in the world, a full testament to that fact being I just started this sentence with a wholly inappropriate 'now'.
I am also aware that there are a million and one other blogs on the subject of film which are far more deserving of your time and attention than this one. But then this was never meant to replace your monthly subscription to Total Film, or overhaul your Netflix rental list. It was just a place for me to store my concise but fleeting thoughts about the magical medium of cinema. But even so, I'm really glad you're here. So welcome...

NOTE: A New Resolution

Every new year brings with it an avalanche of self-promises on how this year will be better than the last. And indeed, 2013 will be no different for me. But alongside the recurring pledges to lose weight, find a man and travel the world, I've decided to carry a couple of film resolutions into the year. The Film Cache has been alive and breathing for 12 months now, and I fully intend to make sure that the next 12 are even better. So from here on in, I am making two additional resolutions, and laying down the rules for everyone to see. This will be The Film Cache code.

  1. I will review every film that I see all the way through. Every. Single. Film. No exceptions, and no excuses.
  2. New releases will receive full reviews, and be published to Twitter.
  3. 'Back catalogue' film reviews (older than 3 months) will never be longer than a single paragraph.

"Carpe. Carpe diem. Seize the day boys. Make your lives extraordinary."
